About Us

Who We Are

Diane Lotto LCSW-R, M.S.W. & Sabrina Fenyo LMHC, M.S.

Founders of The Counseling Collective

The Counseling Collective grew out of our vision for bringing high quality, specialized care to a comfortable, safe studio environment.

We started our careers in mental health in hospital and non-profit work. We each eventually moved up into management roles–with Diane creating and overseeing a mobile mental health team and Sabrina running a large community-based services department–but we still felt unfulfilled. We were practicing within the confines of a system that didn’t allow for authenticity, creativity, and true connection with our clients.

Our goal is to have a practice that feels like a sanctuary–a safe, healing place where folks feel connected with their provider. We are firm believers in fostering strong therapeutic relationships, practicing authentically, and creating an environment where shame and stigma are checked at the door.

This practice is our therapist-dream-come-true. We hope that you can find the safety, security, acceptance and healing that you need within our walls.

Sabrina Fenyo LMHC, M.S., CCTP

Sabrina is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and brings with her a huge range of experience and expertise. Sabrina co-founded The Counseling Collective in 2019 with Diane after realizing that the confines of agency-based mental health settings left her feeling professionally confined and unable to take her clients all the way to their true potential. With a vision to provide high quality psychotherapy while integrating her authentic self (dry humor and wittiness included) into her work, The Counseling Collective was born.

Sabrina specializes in trauma, eating disorders, burnout & caregiver fatigue, and grief/bereavement work. She especially enjoys working with folks in helping professions (teachers, nurses, therapists–we’re looking at you!). Her ability to bring compassion, understanding, and a healthy dose of “real talk” into the therapy room makes her approach both down to earth and super effective.

Sabrina works to help you understand the roots of your stress and create a strong foundation of skills to help you “Feel It & Heal It”. As our resident Self Care Queen: she emphasizes the importance of not putting your own needs at the bottom of the list, and helps you build self-compassion, self-worth and boundaries to ensure that you are able to fill your cup before trying to pour into those around you.

Sabrina is an Accelerated Resolution Therapy practitioner, and also holds the Certified Clinical Trauma Professional credential through the International Association of Trauma Professionals. She practices from an anti-diet, Health At Every Size framework.

For her own self-care, Sabrina enjoys cooking, crafting and spending time with her baby goldendoodle Opie.

Diane Lotto LCSW-R, MSW

Diane is out on maternity leave through July 8th, 2024 and not accepting new clients or waitlist clients at this time.

Diane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma, eating disorders and older adolescent & young adult mental health. Diane opened her private practice in 2018, and co-founded The Counseling Collective in 2019. After years of community and hospital work where therapists are taught to stifle their personalities–Diane brought an authentic vibe into her practice where she works primarily with older teens (16+) and young adults in an authentic, relatable style.

Diane’s approach is science-based and trauma-informed with a side of humor and relatability. Diane uses trauma informed models, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive and Dialectical therapy techniques to help you break free from the influences of depression, anxiety, trauma and disordered eating.

With a background in Women’s Studies, Diane uses feminist theory to help you understand the social constructs that impact our experiences and the ways we internalize our environment. By helping you normalize and conceptualize your experiences, Diane helps you build resilience and coping strategies, leaving behind unhealthy patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.

Diane is a Healthy At Every Size® provider and takes a firm anti-diet culture & body acceptance approach to treating disordered eating. She is a certified Accelerated Resolution Therapy practitioner.

Diane loves gardening, yoga, her rescue dog Daisy, and accumulating more houseplants than she has space for.

Annie Bingaman LCSW, RYT

Annie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who found her way to the field of mental healthcare largely through lived experience. Annie believes that the therapeutic process can be a powerful tool for better understanding yourself and improving patterns to create a more balanced life.

Annie is a proponent of self compassion, helping folks recover from perfectionism and people pleasing tendencies. Bringing authenticity and humility into her work, Annie incorporates body awareness, mindfulness, and distress tolerance skills. To help you get the most out of sessions, Annie regularly offers journal prompts in between scheduled sessions.

Annie utilizes more traditional forms of talk therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Pulling from her training in trauma-informed yoga, Annie also offers movement-based sessions designed to guide clients toward becoming more embodied. In 2023, she became certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and offers this treatment method for clients seeking to move through the long-lasting effects of trauma.

Annie works with both individuals and couples. She especially enjoys working with emerging adults (ages 18-30), helping folks to navigate the challenges that come along with this transitional phase of life with a focus on career counseling.

Well versed in intersectional feminism, Annie is a LGBTQ+ affirming provider. She is also Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned and a firm believer in body liberation for all.

On the weekends, Annie enjoys exploring the city, seeing live music, and spending time by the river. To learn more about Annie and the types of services she offers, you can visit her website: anniebingaman.com
